The original type foundry was founded in the last century and defied itself as the premier manufacturer of fine quality hot stamping and letterpress type.

The type can be used for Hot Stamping machines manufactured by Kingsley Machine Company, ITW, Kwikprint, Howard Imprinting Machine Company, Franklin Imprinting Machine company, Magic Systems, TJ Edwards, Jason System and many other machine companies.

Our type is specially cast using a proprietary formulation that is designed to handle the heat and pressure required to hot stamp.  This same formulation makes the type very durable for letterpress printing.  You will be pleased with the consistent, crisp results achieved.

We have Ludlow Slug (line) Casting available to cast individual lines to order.  Many Ludlow fonts match the type we make.  This allows you to have a 72 point line cast in Ludlow and use it with your 18 point hand set without the cost of purchasing an entire font of 72 point.
